The Myth Cycle
by Susanna Fournier
"Get 'em while they're young--isn't that how the saying goes...or is it just GET 'em?"
The Myth Cycle explores the relationship negotiations between a mother and her adult daughter, negotiations, complicated by their own infamy--Medusa, the notorious snake-haired monster woman, trying to parent, Persephone--the fair maiden trapped in Hell (their basement apartment). Set some place between Toronto and the Underworld, this piece humorously invites us to step into the witch's cave and takes the apple from the snake. |
